Custom Rods

The heart of Tuscarora Tackle’s business lies in building high quality, high performance bass and musky rods. While we build anything from small fly rods to saltwater jigging rods, bass and musky fishing are our focus. Each rod is built to customer specifications while taking into account things like physical stature and color preferences. There are many options to consider when ordering a custom rod. We can offer our expertise and make recommendations based on your specific needs and wants. Whether you are looking to delicately drop a fly in front of a wild brook trout in a mountain stream or throw 10oz. crankbaits to a big-water musky, we can provide you with the custom rod for the job.

We are proud to offer builds on a variety of quality blanks including St Croix, Lamiglas, Mudhole MHX, Batson, TFO, Orvis, and Tackle Industries to name a few. If there is a blank out there that you want, we can get it for you. Our guide selection includes Fuji, American Tackle, and Pacific Bay. We offer handle options in full-grip or split-grip with materials including cork, EVA, hypalon, and x-flock in a variety of colors. Additional options like snake skin inlays, marbling, and Scott Throop tiger wraps are an inexpensive way to add a touch of class to any build.

Prices for custom rods start in the $200 range. We are pleased to be able to offer full-custom musky rods on Tackle Industries blanks starting at $225.
