At Tuscarora Tackle we focus on building high quality, high performance custom fishing rods. Our focus is to build the lightest, most sensitive rods possible while at the same time making sure the rod is tailored to your specific fishing style and techniques.
The Rod Builder
Jeremy Wagner is the face and hands behind the fine craftsmanship of Tuscarora Tackle products. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys fishing for trout, musky, and bass in the rivers and streams around the Tuscarora Mountains in Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
His life-long love of fishing is what has led him to begin crafting fishing rods and lures. He gets a special satisfaction from catching a fish (or watching someone else catch a fish) on a lure or rod that he’s made. The art of handcrafting tackle has been one more step in his growth as a fisherman.
Our Work
Our rods are hand built from the finest quality components and we offer a variety of options to choose from.
We also have line of very unique musky lures, our Viper Minnows. The Viper Minnow is a work of art that is built to fish hard.
Each lure is individually hand-crafted from select cedar and wrapped in actual snake skin. We use the finest stainless steel components to make sure our lures last: .092” by 1.5” long stainless eye screws, 3X stainless split rings, and VMC 9626 4X strong treble hooks in size 5/0.
The diving lips are anchored by two .062” stainless pins and the lures are finished off with taxidermy alligator eyes and 6 coats of epoxy.
